On board
Everything you need for the journey
The daily departure
Every day at 16:00 UTC, for half an hour, everyone takes off together. Set a reminder, and the app shows it in your own time.
The Lounge
Ask travelers and locals anything, from your own country or the whole world. Posts stay up for a week, and you can mark the answers that helped.
Your passport
When a match turns into a conversation, you get a stamp for their country and miles for the distance between you. Fly enough and you rank up.
Statuses
Share a photo for 24 hours with your friends, the people you chat with, or anyone, and leave out whoever you like.
Your plane, your style
Spend tokens on planes, trails, map styles and welcome effects. The people you match with see your plane fly in.
Voice messages
Say it out loud. With Skyclub, read voice messages as text too, in any language.
Going your way Skyclub
Add a trip and see travelers heading to the same country in the same month. Trips stay private until you show one, and never show your exact dates.
Friends on a map
Keep the people you meet, and see where your friends are in the world.
Safety briefing
Safety
FarAway connects strangers. That only works if it’s safe.
These are the rules we enforce. Breaking them can get an account suspended without warning.
Read the community guidelinesAnd our child safety standards.
- 18 and over only Every account is verified by phone, one per person.
- Report or block anyone From a chat, a profile or a status. Blocking stops them reaching you at once.
- A person reviews reports And enough independent reports suspend an account automatically.
- Photos expire in 24 hours And with someone new, they unlock only once you’ve both written a few messages.
- No harassment, scams or impersonation And no child sexual abuse or exploitation, ever.
- Meeting in person? Use your judgement. We don’t screen the people you meet.
