Questions at the gate
Before you board
Is FarAway free?
Yes. Matching, chat, voice messages, friends, trips, the Lounge and your passport are free. Translation is free up to 15,000 characters a month, and you can share 1 status a day. Skyclub adds filters, priority and more, and starts with 14 days free.
What can I buy with tokens?
Filters, paid only when a filtered take-off finds you a match, and things in the shop: planes, trails, map styles, welcome effects, photo frames, passport covers, and souvenirs to give the people you meet.
Can I get tokens for free?
Everyone starts with 5. When someone joins from your invite link, or finds you in their contacts, you each get 5 more.
How does the free trial work?
Start it in the app whenever you like. It doesn’t begin when you sign up. Google Play asks for a payment method but charges nothing for 14 days, then the plan renews at its price. Cancel in Google Play, under Subscriptions, before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. There’s one free trial per Google account.
Do tokens expire?
No. And tokens are spent only when a take-off with a filter finds you a match. Cancelling, or finding nobody, costs nothing.
Why does a continent filter cost more?
It narrows the search much more than a gender filter does, so a match that fits it is harder to find. A gender filter costs 2 tokens, a continent filter 3, and both together 5, however many continents you pick.
How do I cancel Skyclub?
In Google Play, under Subscriptions. It stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
What’s a priority take-off?
Your take-off is moved up the queue, so you’re usually matched before travelers who took off around the same time without it.
What else comes with Skyclub?
The Supersonic, the fastest plane in the shop, which your matches see pass. 10 times the translations. Voice messages as text. Invisible mode, which hides when you’re online and when you were last seen. Up to 30 statuses a day. Five more app icons, and a badge on your profile.
